Good Bye NYC, Hello Nations Capital

We made it to New York City safely, and in good time, aside from the 40 minutes it took us to find a parking spot.  Haha.  The wait was well worth it though, as we ended up finding a spot on the street right in front of the Gibby's apartment, without having to pay.  The apartment was beautiful, and only steps from the River where we got to walk down and get a drink on the pier by the water.  There were dogs everywhere down by the pier, and it made us miss our little Sandy, but we were able to fight through the pain with the help of a couple drinks in the sun.

For dinner Gibby took us down to Little Italy, and we ate at a place called Da Nicos.  It was delicious.  We had some Calamari to start, which as excellent.  Then for dinner I had the chicken parmigiana, which was awesome, and Billy had tortilini in a white sauce with sausage.  Are you hungry yet? Haha.  For dessert we got some chocolate dipped cannoli from a bakery in Little Italy.  I was too full to eat mine last night, , so I had mine for breakfast this morning.  It was delicious, and probably one of the best cannoli I've ever had!  We didn't get to see much more of New York, but we will plan a weekend this summer to visit again.  It was great to spend time with Gibby and we hope to see him again soon.  Thank you for your hospitality my friend.

Now it is on to Washington, D.C. We should be there in a couple hours, with time to enjoy the sun!
