Santa Fe, NM

On our Drive to Santa Fe, there were several Casinos in which Billy showed great will power in not stopping.  Haha. However we did stop at the University of New Mexico, where we stood at the “Center of the Universe.”  It was pretty cool, even though it is obviously not the center of the universe, but at least we can say we have been there.  Billy also put up lots of Lovers Can Be Choosers stuff all over the campus which was good advertisement.

We stayed at a Park Inn and Suites in Santa Fe, which was nothing fancy, but it worked.  We did not have much planned for Santa Fe as it was really just a stop to break up the drive to Colorado Springs.  I am sure there are a lot of things to do, there were some art museums and stuff, but we wanted to lay low.  We were only there one night so we just went to the movies and saw “Alice in Wonderland.”  It was cute, I liked it.  Other than that we did not do much in Santa Fe, NM, but we did manage to take our jumping pictures which are below.  We thought it was appropriate to take them in the hotel, since we did not really go anywhere else other than the movie theatre. Haha.

This morning we are on the road to Colorado Springs, CO. For those interested, it has rained for the first time on our trip.  It rained while we were sleeping, and now it’s pretty cloudy and sprinkling.  It is actually a pretty cool site, as we drive into Colorado, with the mountain tops covered by clouds.  It will be about a 5 hour drive, and we will stay there until Monday morning in a cabin.  There is a lot to see and do there which we are excited about.
